We are delighted to report that works are progressing simultaneously on two interesting healthcare projects at Merlin Park University Hospital, Galway.

The first project, an ambulance base for Galway City, is a two-storey building comprising operational headquarters, shared spaces, an ambulance garage and canopied space for ambulances and vehicles. The long low building has a horizontal emphasis and is designed to sit respectfully in its context, echoing the architectural language employed within the original campus design.

The second project involves the delivery of two Orthopaedic Theatres as an extension to the original hospital building. When completed the building will provide modern, purpose-built orthopaedic theatres to serve the needs of Galway and the surrounding regions.
