This project involves the upgrade the Sligo Showgrounds to an approx. 6,200 capacity all seater stadium which will exceed the minimum requirements for UEFA Category 3 Stadiums. The works propose the construction of new Church Hill Road End and the Jinks Avenue spectator stands, together with upgrade works to the existing Railway End and Treacy Avenue Stands.

The stadium design focuses on capturing the special match-night atmosphere in the Showgrounds, with the three new roofs joined to enhance the feeling of enclosure and to assist in capturing and containing the noise of the supporters. Externally the exposed concrete structure will provide a strong new aesthetic to the grounds as fans enter via Church Hill Road.
