HOUSE FOR AN ARTIST, LEITRIM

Located in rural Leitrim, this dwelling and artist’s studio was developed to tie into the local vernacular style. The use of stone cladding and slate roofs is consistent with the materials typically used in the locality, whilst the barrel vaulted roof of the studio is a modern interpretation of the local typology for farm buildings, designed to maximise diffused natural daylight in this space.
